Candidate to represent the School of Arts & Sciences on the Alumni Council.
STATEMENT: I have been actively involved with and have supported Tufts University in many ways since my graduation. More than 10 years ago, I founded the NYC Metro Area Tufts Women’s Professional Networking Group with the idea of bringing local Tufts alums together to develop business and mentoring relationships, and the group is still going strong today. In 2019, I served on the 30th Year Reunion Committee that successfully raised more money for Tufts than any 30th year reunion class has ever done for Tufts. I am a member of the Alumni Council’s Alumni Weekend/Homecoming Committee to further volunteer my time to Tufts University and to continue to look for ways to keep my class connected to Tufts.
I have been involved with the Tufts Lawyers Association over the years and am currently on its steering committee. I have attended many Tufts NYC Alumni events, and have also participated in Tufts’ LEAD IT conference for the past two years that it has been held.
I would like to be on the Tufts Alumni Council as a volunteer to be able to help find new and creative ways to strengthen or renew the bond between alumni and Tufts University. My record shows my passion for, pride and interest in my alma mater Tufts University. I will bring that passion and my talents for connecting people to work on the Council if elected, just as I have done with the founding of NYC Metro Tufts Women’s Professional Networking Group (and an alumni mentor group I founded at my law school 25 years ago that is still going strong today!).
