Tilly is a senior from Toronto, Canada, pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Psychology. She is very interested in the intersection of healthcare and data science, and would like to use her technical skills to make meaningful contributions to healthcare in the future.
Selected into the T-Tripods DIAMONDS (Directed, Intensive And Mentored Opportunities iN Data Science) summer program, Tilly was paired with Dr. Lisa Gualtieri at Tufts Medical School to develop a technical solution to medication adherence. Tilly has continued working as a Research Assistant to Dr. Gualtieri, and they are in the process of writing and publishing their research paper.
Tilly has previously been a Teaching Assistant for an upper level Computer Science course, Theory of Computation, and a Math and Science tutor through Leonard Carmichael Society, where she was paired with two elementary children in the Medford area.
One of Tilly’s biggest contributions and commitments at Tufts has been through her role on the tennis team. A four-year leader and currently a senior captain, Tilly has found a lot of success on the court. As the number 1 singles player her sophomore year, she led her team to a final 3 finish - the best ranking in Tufts history! Tilly has earned All-American status every year she has competed. Last spring, she was crowned the NCAA Doubles National Champion. She is most proud of earning the 2022 Northeast Arthur Ashe Jr. Sportsmanship and Leadership Award, for exhibiting “outstanding sportsmanship and leadership, as well as scholastic, extracurricular and tennis achievements.”
Later this week, she will also be receiving the Bennett Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to students demonstrating exemplary sportsmanship.
Next year, Tilly will be attending Harvard Medical School where she will be pursuing a Masters in Biomedical Informatics.
