Maycon Santos earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Psychology with honors from Tufts University. While at Tufts, Maycon was a Laidlaw Scholar, worked in the Spatial Navigation Lab under Professor Holly Taylor where he wrote his senior thesis with distinction. He co-authored the paper "Two-handed Design: Development of Food Personality Framework Using Mixed Method Needfinding" which was published at the Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI) in 2022, after participating in the Undergraduate Research Fellowship at Stanford University. He also authored a poster presentation on "Cross-Cultural Differences in the Use of Cashierless Stores" which was published at the New England Psychological Association Conference. At Tisch College, Maycon served as a Tisch Scholar, supporting immigrant education in neighboring communities. He was a teaching assistant for courses in the Psychology and Engineering Management departments, and a Portuguese tutor at the StAAR Center. Additionally, he won prestigious awards including the 2020 Estudar Foundation Fellowship, and the 2019 Bayer Youth Ag Summit. For his leadership and achievements both on and off campus, Maycon was awarded the 2022 Presidential Award for Civic Life.
