Young Alumni Service Award

Meagan Edmonds is a 2014 AS&E graduate. While at Tufts, Meagan was involved in Programming Board, Writing Fellows, and the Strong Women, Strong Girls community mentoring program. She also worked as a student in the Office of Alumni Engagement supporting Tufts Alumni events, which first sparked her interest in remaining an active member of the Tufts Alumni community after graduation. Meagan moved to Washington, DC after graduating where she has built her life, including attending Georgetown University Law Center.

Since graduating from Tufts 2014 and moving to Washington, DC, Meagan has maintained her connection to Tufts through volunteer roles and a sense of service. Prior to law school, Meagan worked at a nonprofit, where her work focused on public interest law and representing survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Her path to Georgetown Law was aided by the mentorship of other Jumbos who helped her shape her career goals. While in law school, Meagan worked as a research assistant for a Tufts alumna studying the legal landscape surrounding Assisted Reproductive Technology and issues it raises at the intersection of law, ethics, and medicine. Throughout this time, Meagan has remained active as a Tufts volunteer. She served on the Tufts Alumni Council, including its Governance and Development committees, and been a member and co-chair of reunion committees and the ‘Bos of the Last Decade young alumni engagement and philanthropy group.

Meagan practices law at Dentons US LLP, where she works with clients facing investigations and litigation. She represents US and foreign companies and individuals in conducting internal investigations; reviewing and developing strong compliance policies and practices; responding to government investigations including from the DOJ, TTC, and CFTC; facing government enforcement actions in federal court; and litigating disputes in state and federal court.
