Nancy Nelson Bello is a 1969 graduate of Jackson College where she majored in Economics.  After graduation, Nancy married husband, John A68.  Shortly thereafter, John was deployed to Vietnam and Nancy moved to the Bay Area where she worked for 3 years in computer programming for Pacific Bell.  Nancy had spent prior summers during her college years working in programming for IBM.

Once her husband's military commitment was complete in 1972, the couple moved to Hanover, New Hampshire where Nancy took a job with the Cancer Center at Mary Hitchcock at Dartmouth.  There she created a Tri-State Computerized Cancer Registry. While still working, she followed her husband to the Amos Tuck School of Business and completed her MBA in 1975.

After Tuck School, Nancy took a job in Strategic Planning at the headquarters of the then conglomerate, AMF in White Plains, New York.  She worked on the Leisure Time side of the business, primarily with AMF's Harley-Davidson division.  Nancy continued to consult after she left AMF to raise her children, two girls, Lauren and Lindsay and a son John who graduated from Tufts in 2013.

During her children's formative years, Nancy focused on their school environments, serving as PTA President, and as an active Trustee at both the Hotchkiss School and The Cardigan Mountain School.  She also was supportive of John’s career at the NFL, accompanying him with family to games and activities around the world.

When husband John launched SoBe beverages in 1995, Nancy was involved with all strategic and many operational roles at SoBe.  She now oversees JoNa Ventures, the family investment firm.

Nancy served on the President's Council at Tufts and was a member of the International Board of Advisors.  Both Nancy and John have made contributions to the school with the goal of beautifying and improving the functionality of the campus and its facilities. Major contributions include Bello Field, the Nelson Gateway Garden and the Nelson Court in the new Squash Center for which she engaged in significant fundraising.

An active golfer, Nancy has hosted the Tufts Golf team for a weeklong golf experience at the family home and club at Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, Arizona.  2025 will be the 15th successive year hosting the team.

Nancy and John also helped establish a scholarship in honor of their dear Tufts friend and brilliant doctor, Lee Nordan.
