Adeline is a senior originally from Los Angeles, CA, double majoring in Applied Mathematics and Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies with a deep interest in the intersection of the arts and sciences. She is committed to creating supportive spaces wherever she goes and aims to use her artistic passions to make a positive impact in the world.
Throughout her college career, Adeline focused on stage management working with the Department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies (TDPS), Pen, Paint, and Pretzels (3Ps), and Torn Ticket II. Her favorite productions include Julius Caesar, Marie Antoinette, and Cabaret. As a stage manager, she prioritizes creating rehearsal environments where performers feel safe exploring their
artistry. Through stage management, Adeline learned how to be a better creator, communicator, and collaborator. Her experience in stage management and her passion for upholding supportive
rehearsal rooms led her to complete a capstone project in intimacy direction. Her final presentation of this work focuses on uplifting emotional wellbeing in theatrical spaces and bringing the basics of
intimacy direction training to the Tufts theatre community. Adeline hopes that people can acknowledge the meaning of creating art and what it means for people to work together on a specific piece in any given moment.
Adeline spent 3 years on the board of 3Ps, first as the Director of Productions and then as the President. During this time, she worked to make 3Ps a space where students could try new things in theatre and find community beyond the stage. She spearheaded the first 10-Minute Play Festival, a tradition that will now happen in years to come. In the Fall of 2023, Adeline co-taught an ExCollege Explorations course entitled STEM on Stage: Discussions of Science in Theatre. She then went on to be a member of the ExCollege Board, where she helped to review and select potential courses and lecturers. She is also the undergraduate representative for the TDPS Season Selection Committee.
In addition to her pursuits in theatre, Adeline was on the board of JumboVote, works in the Math Department, and enjoys playing intramural sports with her friends. She also works in the TDPS Box Office where she started to learn about ticketing, a skill she brought to her Sales and Ticketing internship with Disney Theatrical Group in 2024. At Tufts, she was also awarded the Jane Anne Hermon Newton Prize, the Marshall Hochhauser Prize, the Charles F. Seymour Jr. Prize, and the Maxine N. Gordon Book Prize. She’s excited to pursue work that blends her passions for art and math after graduation.
