STATEMENT:
I care deeply about Tufts University and cherish my four years on campus. I had an unbelievable academic experience, became heavily involved on campus through TCU Senate and as a trustee representative, made some of my best friends and met my husband at Tufts. I remained involved with Tufts as a volunteer after graduation as an admissions interviewer, chairing reunions and helping raise money from the class. More recently, I joined The Herd as a mentor and have participated in Tufts Women’s Network and Alumni Career Services events. I am finally at the point in my life when I can get more heavily involved at Tufts. I have wanted to do so for years and am excited about getting involved in the Tufts Alumni Council. This volunteer opportunity harkens me back to my days as the TCU Senate Parliamentarian, and I look forward to participating in governing the TUAA. I have and want to continue to make a difference in my local and Tufts communities and help serve and govern the esteemed alumni association. I am proud of my alma mater and the amazing reputation of Tufts as a leading educational institution. As a General Counsel and Secretary of a publicly traded corporation, a large part of my job is focused on governance, risk oversight and secretary and liaison to our Board of Directors. My almost twenty-five years of experience as an attorney and these governance skills qualify me to serve as a director on the Tufts Alumni Council.
