Daniela Koplin, A26

Daniela Koplin is a senior from New York City double majoring in Community Health and Psychology. During her time at Tufts, Daniela has been a leader in in health advocacy and community engagement as the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Registry representative on campus. In this role, she leads donor recruitment drives and collaborates with student organizations to help add students to the national bone marrow registry. Through her efforts, she has identified six donor matches and helped facilitate a lifesaving transplant from a donor recruited at a Tufts swab drive. She has also serves as a student board member at Tufts Hillel for every semester since her freshman year, supporting the Jewish community on campus and helping plan and coordinate campus events. 

Beyond campus leadership, Daniela has demonstrated a strong commitment to caregiving and clinical work. As a caretaker for a young boy with a severe multisystem genetic disorder, she provides highly specialized, hands-on care while supporting his developmental and emotional needs. She has also worked at The Motherhood Center of New York, where she supported infants and mothers navigating postpartum mental health challenges, heling foster early bonding and healthy development. 

In addition to clinical work, Daniela is a research intern at Boston Children's Hospital, where she conducts detailed medical record reviews, collects and manages participant data, and supports ongoing studies on the genetic factors of ADHD. She has presented her research at the American Conference of Human Genetics. 

In the fall, Daniela will begin her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a Health Emphasis at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. She hopes to pursue a career as a clinical psychologist supporting patients and families through complex medical experiences, with a particular interest in transplant care.
