Dhruv is a Senior at Tufts University from Mumbai, India, studying Political Science and Economics. As the Tufts Student Body President, he has worked to advance greater tuition transparency and strengthen communication between students and university leadership on issues of affordability, access, and campus life. His leadership has centered on making institutional decision-making more visible and ensuring that student concerns are represented at the highest levels of the university.

Previously, as Treasurer of the Tufts Community Union, Dhruv managed the allocation of the student activities fee across more than 400 student organizations. In this role, he worked to increase accessibility, reduce hidden costs, and create more opportunities for engagement across the student body.

Beyond student government, Dhruv has been engaged in research focused on development, governance, and access. His academic work has explored issues such as infrastructure and educational access in rural economies, housing policy and eviction protections, and questions of citizenship and democratic change in India.

In recognition of his leadership and service, Dhruv was named the 2026 recipient of the Wendell Phillips Award, and he will deliver the student address at the Baccalaureate ceremony.
