Tufts Lawyers Association Early Career Mentoring Program

The Tufts Lawyers Association is excited to pilot an alumni-alumni mentoring program.  Alumni who are pre-law, in law school, or who are <10 years fron graduating law school and employed as practicing attorneys are matched with seasoned attorneys for a six month program. 

Mentors and mentees are required to fulfill the following elements of the program.  If you anticipate being unable to fulfill the requirements, please defer application until a future cycle of the program. Learn more here.

  1. Virtual orientation for mentors and mentees hosted by the Tufts Lawyers Association Mentoring Program Coordinators and the Office of Alumni Engagement/Alumni Career Services
  2. At least three 1-1 career conversations, in-person and/or virtually, during the six month program
  3. A professional development webinar for all mentees led by TLA attorneys
  4. A closing networking social for all participants
  5. Mentors are encouraged to offer an office visit and/or tour as appropriate
  6. Mentees are encouraged to join the TLA and join us for educational, professional, and social events

    2024 Program Timeline

    May 3:  Deadline for mentees to apply has been extended to May 3!

    Early May:  Mentor/Mentee pairs will be chosen and contacted

    Mid May: Virtual orientation for mentors and mentees hosted by the Tufts Lawyers Association Mentoring Program Coordinators and the Office of Alumni Engagement/Alumni Career Services

    May - November:  Mentors and mentees will meet, ideally in person, at least 3 times during the 6 month program.  Other components of the program will include a professional development webinar for all mentees led by TLA attorneys and a closing networking reception for all participants.

  • Application Requirements

    The deadline to apply has been extended to May 3.  Your application will be shared with the TLA Mentoring Program Coordinators and Tufts Office of Alumni Engagement staff to make a match.  This information will not be shared with mentors and mentees.
