A Day of Remembrance and Reflection

The Office of the Vice Provost for Institutional Inclusive Excellence (IIE), in partnership with the Tufts Juneteenth Planning Committee, invites you to this special event commemorating the spirit and meaning of Juneteenth.

  • Lunch 🧺 catered by local Black-owned business Rhythm and Wraps, Darryl's Corner Bar & Kitchen, and Fresh Food Generation.
  • Musical performance 🎵 of "Lift Every Voice and Sing" with audience participation.
  • Conversation 🎤 with Dr. Christina Greer, J00, a distinguished scholar, activist, and Tufts alumna, moderated by Taina McField, Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life associate dean for strategy.
  • Community discussion 💬 for those attending in person.

Guest Speaker

Dr. Christina Greer, J00, is Associate Professor of Political Science at Fordham University. Her scholarship and teaching focus on American politics, Black ethnic politics, urban politics, quantitative methods, campaigns, elections, and public opinion.

 

 

Taina McField

 

Moderator

Taina McField is Associate Dean for Strategy at Tufts University's Tisch College. She is an educator with extensive experience in program development and operations, cultivating and supporting social justice organizations, and working with universities and other large institutions.
