    Meet the Staff - 12:00 PM-12:45 PM ET

    Are you a new volunteer looking to get more involved? Or a seasoned volunteer exploring new opportunities? Join us for an informal session to meet Tufts staff from the Offices of Alumni Engagement, Annual Giving, and others across campus. You’ll hear about multiple areas, from affinity engagement to career development, lifelong learning, and more—and then choose breakout rooms to explore your interests in depth.

    This session is open to alumni of all schools but is most relevant for those from the Schools of Arts & Sciences, Engineering, and SMFA.

     

    Beyond the Numbers – A Case Study with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions - 1:00 PM-1:45 PM ET

    Have you ever wondered how admissions decisions get made? Join a few seasoned Tufts admissions officers and step into the role of an admission committee member through this case study. You’ll make your way through five fictional student applications and vote on who you would admit to Tufts University. Time will be reserved at the end of the case study for a debrief and questions with our admissions officers. 

    This session is open to alumni of all schools but is most relevant for undergraduate alumni. We encourage Tufts Admissions Network (TAN) alumni interviewers and those interested in the TAN program to attend.

     

    #TuftsGivingTuesday – The Volunteer Effect - 2:00 PM-2:45 PM ET

    #TuftsGivingTuesday is November 30th this year—and that is just around the corner! Join us to hear from Tufts volunteers and staff about this year’s campaign and how you, as a volunteer, can make a significant impact. You’ll also get insider information on our plans, learn how to contact your Tufts network using our volunteer portal, and discover ways to increase social media visibility on the day!

    This session is open to alumni of all schools. Prior involvement with #TuftsGivingTuesday is not required!

     

    Guidelines for Effective Cross-Cultural Dialogue - 3:00 PM-4:30 PM ET

    The Office of Alumni Engagement is partnering with VISIONS, Inc. to provide training on effective cross-cultural dialogue. Please join experienced facilitators from VISIONS for an interactive discussion. You’ll walk away with a set of guidelines to use in your everyday interactions—steps that you can take to foster an inclusive and respectful environment, both as a volunteer and in other facets of your life.

    This session is open to alumni of all schools. Please note that space is limited. We will maintain a wait list, but we ask that you only register if you are certain that you can attend.

     

    Volunteer Networking Reception - 5:00 PM-6:00 PM ET

    After a day of learning together, let’s have some fun! Grab a drink and join us for an informal gathering to meet your peers. Breakout rooms will be organized by volunteer role—come ready to connect with your fellow Jumbos. (Memes and gifs may or may not be involved…)

    Summit Kickoff and Conversation with President Monaco - 10:30 AM-11:30 AM ET

    Join us for the formal kickoff of All Together Tufts, featuring Trustee Kenneth Fan, E01, F07, in conversation with President Anthony Monaco. Get to know President Monaco while hearing the latest news from campus—and please bring your questions. The program will also include remarks from Bill Gehling, A74, AG79, Executive Director of Alumni Engagement; Jennifer Covell, J86, President of the Tufts University Alumni Association; and Peter R. Dolan, A78, A08P, Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

    This session is open to alumni of all schools.

     

    Virtual Visit to Campus - 11:30 AM-12:00 PM ET

    While we can’t gather on campus for this year’s summit, you can still come back to the Hill virtually. Join us to experience Tufts today. More details to come.

    This session is most relevant for alumni of the schools of Arts & Sciences and Engineering.

     

    Breaktime in Breakout Rooms - 12:00 PM-1:00 PM ET

    Turn off your camera and take a break for a few minutes after our opening sessions. Come back with your morning coffee, lunch, or evening cocktail energized for what’s next. We’ll divide attendees into a series of randomly assigned breakout rooms to meet more Jumbos outside your circle.

    This session is open to alumni of all schools.

     

    What Do Students Really Want? - 1:00 PM-2:00 PM ET

    Join Associate Director of Alumni Career Services Nicole M. Anderson, students, and fellow alumni for a facilitated discussion on student-alumni mentorship. Hear directly from students how they would like to engage with alumni and learn about new tools for connecting. 

    This session is open to alumni from the Schools of Arts & Sciences, Engineering, SMFA, and Fletcher.

     

    In Celebration of Tufts Women: A Visioning Session - 2:30 PM-3:30 PM ET

    Are you passionate about building a stronger community of Tufts women? Join Trustee Mariann Youniss, J83, and Fletcher Board of Advisors Chair Lisbeth Tarlow, F84, F97, for this interactive visioning session to develop early plans for Tufts’ first women’s summit, tentatively slated for Fall 2023. Come share your insights and participate in designing a program that will bring Tufts women together in a meaningful way. 

    Alumni of all schools are welcome.

     

    Strengthening the Engagement of Our Asian American Alumni Community - 4:00 PM-5:00 PM ET

    Join Trustees Jeannie Diefenderfer, E84, Kenneth Fan, E01, F07, and Sam Ho, M76, for a facilitated discussion on strengthening the engagement of the Asian American alumni community. You’ll learn what’s new on campus, share your experiences in small group conversations, and work together to build a stronger and more connected community. 

    Alumni of all schools who identify as Asian American are welcome.

     

    Planning an Affinity Reunion - 4:00 PM-5:00 PM ET

    Just before the pandemic, Trustee Diana Lopez, J78, A25P, and Alumni Council Member Elizabeth Amador, J91, A22P, were working with the Office of Alumni Engagement to design a special event in Miami to celebrate our Latinx and Hispanic alumni communities—and beyond. As we move closer to being able to gather in person, it’s time to pick up the conversation. Join us for a visioning session to help craft this exciting program!

    Volunteering to Build, Strengthen, and Unify the Black Alumni Community - 4:00 PM-5:00 PM ET

    So many people play an essential role in ensuring a holistic educational experience. Tufts University has always provided a deep and broad range of support uniquely tied to the Black experience. Trustee Doug Harris, A81, invites students and fellow alumni to join a facilitated discussion on strengthening the Black alumni community. Come share your ideas and learn specific ways we can unite to build and enhance the Tufts experience for everyone.

    Alumni of all schools who identify as Black are welcome.

    Inspire, Engage, Empower – A Town Hall on the New Strategic Plan for Alumni Engagement - 11:00 AM-12:00 PM ET

    Join Tufts University Alumni Association President Jennifer Covell, J86, and Executive Director of Alumni Engagement Bill Gehling, A74, AG79, for our final session of All Together Tufts. Learn about our new strategic plan for alumni engagement, an exciting three-year roadmap built collaboratively in 2021. After a brief overview of the plan, you’ll participate in guided discussions with alumni volunteer leaders to add your ideas and help shape the future together.
