BOSTON BUSINESS LEADERSHIP SERIES: PETER DOLAN (A78, A08P)

You are cordially invited to a lunchtime event with Peter Dolan, A78, A08P, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Tufts University, Chairman Allied Minds, Former Chairman and CEO, Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Peter will talk about his path from Tufts to the Bristol-Myers Squibb C-suite, and his current roles as Chairman of the Tufts University Board of Trustees and as Chairman of Allied Minds. He’ll also provide a brief update on Tufts today followed by Q&A. The event is hosted by Andy Merken, A87, at Burns & Levinson LLP.

More about Peter:

Peter joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1988 and after more than a decade leading the company’s Consumer Products, Nutritionals and Medical Device businesses, he was named CEO of the company in 2001 at age 45. After his career at Bristol-Myers Squibb, he was Chairman and CEO of GeminX, a venture capital backed startup oncology firm that was successfully sold to Cephalon Pharmaceuticals.  He’s currently Chairman of Allied Minds, an innovation company that forms, funds, manages and builds startups based on early-stage technology originating from U.S. universities and federally funded research institutions.

Peter has served on the boards of multiple for-profits and not-for-profits, including the American Express Company, ChildObesity180 and the Tuck School Board of Overseers at Dartmouth College. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for The Partnership for a Healthier America.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University in 1978 in Social Psychology and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.  He was elected chairman of the Tufts Board of Trustees in 2013.
