Chris Macort has realized his childhood dream of being a pirate hunter and has served in key roles on some of the most exciting pirate ship explorations and discoveries in modern times.

Presently, Chris is Director of Exhibits at the new Whydah Museum in West Yarmouth as well as the Whydah Museum in Provincetown. He has been diving in the Atlantic Ocean off Wellfleet with Barry Clifford for over twenty years, recovering treasures from the wreck of the 300-year-old pirate ship, the Whydah.

This Cape Codder is at home, whether working below the ocean surface while encountering great white sharks as he sifts through the sands uncovering thousands of artifacts or in his laboratory preparing these treasures for public display. He will talk about the history of the Whydah and behind-the-scene stories most people haven’t heard, the Whydah crew and recent diving exploits and new discoveries.

He has worked with the History Channel, National Geographic Television and Magazine, The BBC, CNN and the Discovery Channel as they filmed and documented expeditions in Las Aves Venezuela, Saint Marie Madagascar, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Cape Cod. Chris is a resident of South Orleans.

Lunch menu begins with New England Clam Chowder. Entree choices: Free Range Statler Chicken served with herbed lemon butter, Fresh Baked Cod Bruchetta baked with oven roasted tomatoes, fresh basil and Mozzarella topped with a balsamic glaze or Vegetable Ravioli. All Entrees are served with warm rolls and butter, Vegetable and Starch, Coffee and Ice Cream Brownie Sundae for Dessert.
