Tufts alumni Thomas Campbell Jackson (1983) and Gregory Taft Gerard (1982) invite you to the Amateur Comedy Club (the “ACC”), a 130 plus year-old private theatre club.  The ACC’s 100-seat theater is in a landmarked carriage house, actually two carriage houses mashed together, located at 150 East 36th Street in Manhattan.

The Club was founded in 1884 by theater professionals as well as doctors, lawyers, and other types, who sought an outlet for their artistic passions.  We have mounted three two-week productions per year for 134 consecutive seasons.

This is an invitation to attend the DRESS REHEARSAL our autumn production, “Comedy of Tenors”, a delightful farce written by Ken Ludwig.  The play takes place on Opening Night for a majestic concert featuring three Famous tenors… unfortunately, everything that could go wrong does go wrong as backstage hijinks seem sure to derail the concert… big egos, slamming doors, love triangles and misdirection ensue... will the “show go on?"  There is no more pleasant way to enjoy a Sunday evening finding out.

Additional information: Curtain is promptly at 7pm.  The play should take approximately 2 hours. Please come up to the Green Room afterward for a Wine and Cheese reception. Please note that there are no physical tickets for this event. Your name will be on a list and you will be checked in upon arrival at the theater.
