Many people found some of the statements released by companies in the wake of George Floyd's murder by a police officer wholly inadeq&inadequate, empty and an attempt to appear "woke" without any real weight behind them. Patricia Figueroa, Founder & CEO of The Career Glow Up, LLC, will discuss Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) actions that corporate America could undertake, leading to real change and more diverse representation at leadership levels in the workforce. We will delve into ways that organizations can create a more inclusive culture welcoming of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and work towards addressing instances of racism that are woven through the fabric of our corporations.
