Tufts University, in partnership with The Netherlands Utrecht University, invite you to an evening of music and science. Join us for a piano concert followed by a presentation and discussion with esteemed Tufts Professor Dr. Paul Lehrman, Director of Music Engineering and Senior Lecturer of Music and Multimedia Arts.

He will share the story of his work on George Antheil’s revolutionary 1924 piece for multiple player pianos and percussion, followed by a showing of the short film "Ballet Mécanique,” which was edited by Dr. Lehrman.

More information about Dr. Lehrman:

Professor Lehrman is a composer, author, teacher, and technologist who is considered a pioneer in the field of computer music. From 1987 to 1999 he served as a faculty member of UMass Lowell's program in Sound Recording Technology. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Symphony Hall, Jordan Hall, Royal Festival Hall, and with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.
