Fixing Children's Science Education Around the World

Ioannis (Yannis) Miaoulis, E83, AG86, EG87, former Tufts Dean of Engineering, championed the introduction of engineering into the Massachusetts K-12 curriculum, helping  Massachusetts achieve first in the nation status.  Now he has positioned the Museum of Science as a world leader in bringing together leaders in government, industry and education to advance the goal of educating scientifically and technologically literate citizens. 
 
The National Center for Technological Literacy at the Museum, supported by corporate, foundation and federal funds, enhances knowledge and inspires the next generation of engineers, inventors, and scientists.
