Important information

  • Public Transportation

If you are coming by subway, or “T,” you can travel to Tufts on the Red Line or the Green Line.

The E branch of the Green Line brings you closest to campus via the new Medford/Tufts stop. When exiting the station you will be located at the intersection of Boston Avenue and College Ave.

Alternatively, you can take the Red Line to the Davis Square station. Exit the Davis Square station on the College Avenue side. You may take the #94 or #96 bus (which both leave from the Davis Square T entrance directly across from the 7-Eleven convenience store, NOT the entrance next to the Somerville Theatre) or walk 15 minutes along College Avenue to the Tufts campus.

    • If you board the bus, you will get off at the stop titled "Boston Avenue at Tufts Garage." The bus stop is across the street from a large, seven-story parking garage.
    • If you walk, turn right out of the subway station and follow College Avenue to the Powderhouse Square traffic circle. Cross Powderhouse Circle to continue on College Avenue. As you continue on College Avenue, the Tufts Campus will be on your left.
  • Parking

Complimentary on-campus parking will be available:

    • Friday, September 18: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
    • Saturday, September 19: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM

If you plan to park on campus outside of these hours, please follow all posted parking regulations and be prepared to pay any applicable parking fees.

Are any parking lots or garages closed?
Yes. The following parking areas on Lower Campus Road will be closed on both September 18th and 19th:

    • South Hall Garage
    • Cohen Center Lot
    • Aidekman Art Gallery Lot

    Where should I park?
The recommended on-campus parking locations are:

    • Dowling Hall Garage
    • Cousens Parking Lot

    Are there any parking advisories?
Yes. Please avoid parking on public streets in Medford and Somerville. Street parking regulations are enforced by the City of Medford and the City of Somerville, not by Tufts University. Visitors are responsible for following all municipal parking rules and restrictions.

    Will shuttle service be available?
Please refer to the Parking & Shuttle Advisories section of the Reunion Weekend website for the latest shuttle schedules and transportation updates.
