Important information

  • Covid Information

Tufts University is committed to promoting a safe campus environment for all members of our community and guests.

Visitors attending events on campus are required to be vaccinated and boosted, if eligible. Effective August 23, the use of masks on campus is strongly recommended as an effective strategy to prevent the transmission of illness. However, mask wearing is optional and is not required. Free masks will be available on Tufts campuses.

While the university strives to mitigate the risks of infection and community spread, it is impossible to eliminate these risks entirely, and all event participants must recognize that they assume these risks of their own volition.

We hope that everyone will be understanding and embrace these guidelines in the spirit of Tufts' values as a caring community and one that believes strongly in civic responsibility.

  • Parking

Parking on campus is available in the Dowling Garage (419 Boston Ave, Medford, MA 02155) free of charge to visitors. Validations or permits are not needed for event parking.

Parking on campus is available  free of charge to visitors until 2:00 PM. Vehicles remaining on campus beyond 2:00 PM are required to purchase a permit.

**Please note Granoff Parking Lot, Aidekman Parking Lot and South Hall Parking Lot will be closed.

  • Public Transportation

If you are coming by subway, or “T,” take the Red Line to the Davis Square Station. Exit the Davis Square Station on the College Avenue side. You may take the #94 or #96 bus (which both leave from the Davis Square T entrance directly across from the 7-Eleven convenience store, NOT the entrance next to the Somerville Theatre) or walk 15 minutes along College Avenue to the Tufts campus.

    • If you walk, turn right out of the subway station and follow College Avenue to the Powderhouse Square traffic circle. Cross Powderhouse Circle to continue on College Avenue. As you continue on College Avenue, the Tufts Campus will be on your left.
