With the continued spread of COVID-19 worldwide, and increasingly in the United States, Tufts University President Monaco announced the preventive measures that the university will be taking in the near-term. As you can read in his message, one of the steps is to cancel all University-sponsored, connected or funded events, both on and off campus, taking place through April 30. Regrettably, this affects our Houston Zoo event on 3/28.
Although this was not an easy call to make, we are taking the necessary precautions to prioritize the health and safety of our attendees and special guests. We regret any inconvenience that this change causes for you. Please know that we will reimburse your registration fee within the next 5-7 business days. Mostly, we will miss reconnecting with you and other alumni and friends in person.
We remain deeply grateful for your understanding and continued support of Tufts Alumni Houston.

Jumbos unite and spend a day at the Houston Zoo with our elephant friends!
This family friendly event is open to all with full day access to the zoo plus lunch included, and a special elephant painting demonstration and Q&A with the elephant keepers. At the end, we will raffle off the two elephant paintings - you don't want to miss out!
Come dressed up in all your Tufts Jumbo and elephant attire. We hope to see you there!

Houston Zoo is open from 9am-6pm. We will gather for lunch at 11am at the Cypress Cafe. The elephant painting and Q&A will take place at 1:30pm. Look for the Tufts banner to find our group.
