Dean's Lecture with Andy Youniss of Rocket Software on October 24

Legacy powers legendary: Building a technology company with innovation and culture
Rocket Software co-founder and CEO Andy Youniss will walk you through how to build a company that lasts. Using Rocket as an example, he will discuss living and breathing a culture of high performance and accountability, and designing business around customers. Dive into strategy, culture, and core values of empathy, humanity, trust, and love. And a little bit of rock ‘n roll never hurt, either.

About Andy Youniss
Andy co-founded Rocket Software in 1990 and continues to guide the company’s growth through strategic technology investment, acquisitions, and partnerships, including actively managing Rocket’s longstanding relationship with IBM. A software engineer by trade, he understands the importance of building software that matters. He is also a guitarist and pianist, and has given talks on the connections and meaningful links between music, software, entrepreneurship, and business.

Though Rocket is a global company, Andy has made sure that Rocket stays connected with its Boston roots. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Boston Medical Center and sits on the board of Lovin’ Spoonfuls, a Boston-based nonprofit focused on food rescue and filling gaps in the food supply chain. He is a member of the Berklee College of Music Presidential Advisory Council. He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
