Los Angeles Regional Food Bank Tufts Volunteer Day

Location: 1743 E 41st Street Los Angeles, CA 90058

Date: March 30, 2019

Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Sponsor: Tufts Alumni Los Angeles

Cost: Free to attend

Members and friends of Tufts Alumni Los Angeles (TALA) are invited to assist delivery preparations for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, a nonprofit organization that has distributed more than one billion pounds of food throughout the region since 1973. Volunteering entails helping sort, inspect, and repackage donated food items from local food drives.

Participants do not need to be Tufts alumni. Anyone older than 14 who would like to do some good is welcome. Please note, there are no exceptions to the required minimum age.

After a fun and productive morning, we will travel independently from the LA Food Bank to Mercado La Paloma, located 2.5 miles away. A table will be reserved for the group. Participants will order and pay for their own food.

Tufts will give each participant a special Tufts service T-shirt, as a thank you for helping the food bank that day.

Registration by March 28 is required. We hope to have your help and company for this worthy cause!
