The Cape Cod Tufts Club invites alumni, parents, friends of Tufts and members of the Intercollegiate Alumni of Cape Cod and Islands to their winter virtual luncheon, “The OCS Diet: The Promise of Good Nutrition” This webinar will take place on Friday, January 22 from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. and feature Jeanne Goldberg, AG59, NG86, J92P, Professor of Nutrition Emerita at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University.

The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy is now in its 42nd year.  They currently have 164 master’s degree students and 61 doctoral students preparing for careers that will improve the quality of life of millions of people worldwide. Over more than four decades, their students and faculty have worked to address and bring solutions to a wide range of problems in areas that go well beyond what we generally think of as “nutrition”.  One area that has so far stymied them and nutritionists everywhere is the inability to convince the public that they might want to follow the advice they offer. Why is it so difficult to influence eating behavior?  The question is short, the answer is long, - and incomplete.  This presentation will attempt to put the topic into perspective.

An audience Q&A session will follow. This event is “bring your own lunch.” We look forward to “seeing” you there!
