If you're looking to enhance your professional presence, you may believe that making connections online (vs. in-person) is easier and less burdensome for all involved. However, the advantages of a face-to-face meeting – really getting to know someone through being in their presence - can be remarkably more fruitful. Whether you’re planning to attend a networking event, or you simply want to be prepared for a spontaneous conversation in the elevator, there are best practices to consider in advance of in-person networking. During this webinar we’ll:
- provide an overview of networking, focusing on in-person networking opportunities
- discuss why networking is a useful tool for everyone, not just those in the job search, and debunk myths about networking
- offer strategies for preparation and practice for different types of in-person networking, including the best questions to ask
- review resources available to Tufts alumni, including career networking events in major cities and events sponsored by Tufts' shared interest groups
- present an opportunity for you to participate in Q&A
Presenters:
- Alyssa Gelbard, A92, Executive Career Consultant and Founder & President of Point Road Group
