The Department of Psychology, former students and colleagues of Zella Luria are honored to sponsor this event in memory of their distinguished colleague and mentor. Dr. Luria was a beloved, award-winning Professor of Psychology at Tufts from 1959-1999. Well known and highly respected for her groundbreaking research on the social construction of gender and sexuality, she was also an activist in the civil rights and peace movements and remained politically active until her death in 2018 at the age of 94.
