Tufts Alumni Thailand Dinner & Panel Discussion — Ironman: Pure Insanity or a Deeper Meaning?

Location: 19 Sukhumvit Soi 18, Khwaeng Khlong Toei, Khet Khlong Toei, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10110, Thailand

Date: February 29, 2024

Time: 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Does swimming 3.9 km, then cycling 180 km, followed by running 42 km for 12 hours sound like fun to you? Three Jumbos decided to shoot for the stars by joining the Ironman competition. Why, why, and WHY? Did they do it out of pure insanity? Or was there a deeper meaning to this madness?

Join us in learning from their experiences the reasons they decided to compete, how they trained, and the physical and mental challenges they needed to overcome. We will also see who knows our alma mater well in Tufts Trivia and of course catch up with old Jumbo friends and make new ones.
