Hear exciting updates from the Hill, followed by a presentation on the upcoming election from Jeffrey Berry, renowned Professor of Political Science. Race has always been an important issue in American elections but many Americans are surprised at how central it has become in the 2020 presidential campaign. It is being debated widely, especially in the context of immigration, changing demographics, and allegations of discrimination. How is the issue likely to play out in 2020? Drawing on electoral and survey data, Professor Berry will discuss how election specialists are evaluating the impact of race on the November, 2020 vote.
Want to get involved? Members of our chapter and Shared Interest Groups will be on site for interested alums looking to explore new ways to volunteer with alumni activities in the area.
