Helping first-generation college students thrive

For Tufts freshmen who are the first in their families to attend college, or who have graduated from underresourced high schools, BLAST offers an in-depth introduction to Tufts and the college experience and ongoing activities that foster friendships, self-discovery, and academic success.

BLAST begins with an immersive six-week program on campus, prior to the first semester. During the next four years, participants gain access to Tufts best educational opportunities, including research, studying abroad, and student leadership.
