Boosting aid in a time of need
The COVID-19 pandemic has had profound impacts around the world, and it has brought change into the lives of Tufts students and their families. In recent months, the university has seen a significant increase in financial aid need from current students, as well as incoming students, whose Tufts journey is just beginning.
To answer this need, a generous group of Tufts parents and alumni has issued the COVID-19 Financial Aid Match: every gift to current-use financial aid for Arts, Sciences & Engineering undergraduates will receive a 100% match, up to a total of $2 million.
A promise we can fulfill, together
During this time of profound uncertainty, Tufts students are looking to this community for support—and we remain committed to meeting their full financial need for the four years they are here. Tufts is one of 70 schools that meets the full demonstrated need for all undergraduate students. As President Monaco wrote to students this spring, “This is not simply a procedure or consideration at our university, but a value at the very center of our mission.”
The COVID-19 Financial Aid Match is an opportunity for all of us to fulfill that promise, and assure every Tufts student that we are, truly, “in this together.”

The future feels uncertain, but Tufts remains unwavering in its commitment to providing students the financial aid they need to continue—or start—their studies here. Make a gift now to undergraduate financial aid to ensure that today’s students can continue to light the Hill.
