Enriching global humanities through interdisciplinary scholarship

The Center for the Humanities at Tufts is a vibrant community of faculty, students, and fellows, as well as visiting artists and writers, pursuing interdisciplinary humanities scholarship in a wide range of fields, including literature, religion, history, and the arts.

The center’s aims are to innovate new research and reflection and develop alternative research models that go beyond the study of cultures as bounded units. Through initiatives like the Mellon Sawyer Seminars in Comparative Global Humanities, the center connects Tufts’ and other Boston-area faculty with scholars at international universities.

Donors to the Center for the Humanities at Tufts support important new scholarship in the global humanities while adding depth and strength to Tufts education. Make a gift today.
