Unraveling the mysteries of cell development and bioelectric communication
The Allen Discovery Center at Tufts is one of the first centers in the country funded by a grant from Microsoft co-founder Paul G. Allen to support research at the frontier of the life sciences.
By studying how cells work together to form and repair complex shapes, Levin and his interdisciplinary team are laying the groundwork for treatments of birth defects, cancer, traumatic injury, and degenerative diseases. This work also has implications for synthetic biology, using nature’s own designs to heal and strengthen.
By supporting the Allen Discovery Center, you enable Tufts researchers to take bold new steps in biomedical research and build a healthier world.
