Research that draws on the best of Tufts and our community partners

The Tisch College Community Research Center (TCRC) supports collaborative research by Tufts faculty and students working in partnership with community members. The goal of TCRC is to generate new knowledge in topics that impact Tufts’ host communities of Somerville, Medford and Boston’s Chinatown.

All TCRC-funded research addresses aspects of social inequity (including food and nutrition) and employs a community-based research model to engage community partners in all parts of the project. Recent projects included a study of obesity prevention in Somerville’s immigrant community and an assessment of the food economy in Somerville and Roxbury-Dorchester.

Your contribution sparks valuable new partnerships between Tufts and our host communities and leverages the many assets of Tufts, and our partners, to promote health. Make a gift today.
