Where transformative education thrives, innovation grows, and Tufts welcomes the world.
Joyce Cummings Center is an exciting new gateway to Tufts that elevates our strengths, serves emerging needs, and sets the stage for an extraordinary future. With seven floors and more than 148,000 square feet of custom-designed spaces, the center includes classrooms and seminar rooms, flexible laboratories for teaching and research, an auditorium, a café, and designated areas for independent study and group projects.
The center is home to several academic departments and programs, from computer science to economics, mathematics, entrepreneurship, and more. By bringing together many diverse disciplines, the center fuels discovery, collaboration, and world-changing education. It is located at the base of the Hill on Tufts’ Medford/Somerville campus—adjacent to the new Medford/Tufts station on the MBTA’s Green Line—and creates visibility and access among our campuses, host communities, and the City of Boston while welcoming the world to Tufts.
