Cutting-edge scholarship on the interlinked topics of race and democracy
The Center for the Study of Race and Democracy (CSRD) promotes research and scholarship on race and democracy and their impact on global citizens. Through scholarship, symposia, and collaborative projects, the CSRD seeks to develop an interactive model of history to foster dialogue on race, civil rights, law, international relations, and democracy in and beyond Tufts.
The Tufts African American Freedom Trail Project is an example of CSRD’s collaborative work to highlight the contributions of activists, intellectuals, elected officials, and cultural workers. CSRD faculty research explores contemporary topics such as race in 21st century America, Barack Obama and American democracy, and race, health, and science.
We invite to you support the CSRD, a hub of exciting interdisciplinary scholarship, and a valued source of research and information on race and democracy. Make a gift today.
