The environment and the human race. It’s the most vital relationship on the planet. And it’s why sustainability is a priority at the university. Your support for Tufts’ initiatives will have local and global impact. Here are two ways you can join us in this important endeavor:
Make a gift to the Green Fund
Sustainability practices are important to everyone in the Tufts community—students, faculty, and staff—and now, you have an opportunity to help them bring their ideas to life. The Tufts Office of Sustainability invites innovative ideas from the Tufts community and funds select projects, thanks to the Green Fund.
Inspired by prior initiatives like the study of Heating & Cooling Energy Use in Pearson-Michael, Energy Efficient Ultra Low Temperature (ULT) Freezers, and Hodgdon Solar Panels, the Green Fund could support everything from a student-designed green roof to solar charging stations to rain gardens and efficient water filling stations at events. Make an endowed gift that is invested in the Tufts University Sustainability Fund (TUSF)
An endowed gift is an opportunity to provide long-range support for the university. Whether you plan to establish a scholarship, a professorship, or fund research, your gift can be invested in the TUSF which will benefit Tufts and the environment. The TUSF was established in 2015 to encourage activity that can diminish, mitigate, or reverse the impact of global climate change through investment in assets consistent with these goals, such as renewable energy, energy-efficient projects, and fossil fuel-free investments.
