Welcome, Tufts University Families!

The Tufts Parents Giving Program connects with parents to enrich the Tufts community, directly impacting the individual student experience. We're committed to ensuring Jumbos have every opportunity to thrive and achieve their potential. How do we accomplish this? By partnering with parents like you. We encourage parent philanthropy, engage leadership donors through our Parents Leadership Council, and host regional events and our annual Parents and Family Weekend. (Due to do social gathering capacity mandates and concern for the general well-being of our Tufts community Parents and Family Weekend 2020 will be held virtually, not in person this year. Updates about programming will be shared as soon as possible.)

As a parent, you’re part of the Jumbo family.  Each year, parents are generous donors in support of the student experience at Tufts through annual and capital gifts. Last fiscal year, Tufts parents broke records by contributing over $37.5 million for student internships and research opportunities, faculty recruitment and retention, athletics and student wellness, student scholarship, innovative programming, enhanced and new facilities and more.

All gifts support the Brighter World: The Campaign for Tufts, a $1.5 billion comprehensive fundraising campaign that encourages transformative experiences, research and innovation, and global impact.

As a reminder, we are closely monitoring the ongoing situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and its impact on the fall semester. Our priority is the health and safety of our community. Some of the activities and events listed may be shifted, adapted, or canceled as we move forward. Thank you for understanding.

We host a number of smaller parent events throughout the country and internationally, connecting parents to the university faculty and senior administrators. Parents also participate in many of the events and affinity groups organized through the Tufts Office of Alumni Relations.

Our Parents Leadership Council is a small group of parent leaders with a strong commitment to philanthropy who act as ambassadors for Tufts in their communities.  To learn more about our Parents Leadership Council, please contact the Director of the Parents Giving Program, Gina A. DeSalvo at gina.desalvo@tufts.edu

Each October, the Parents Giving Program welcomes thousands of parents, family members, and friends to campus for Parents and Family Weekend. This year, due to do social gathering capacity mandates and concern for the general well-being of our Tufts community, Parents and Family Weekend 2020 will be held virtually. Updates about programming will be shared as soon as possible.

The Parents Giving Program communicates regularly with parents through print and electronic pieces. We share highlights of campus life and stories of how your parent philanthropy impacts the daily experience of students. Please make sure we have your current information by filling out our parent information form or emailing us at parentsgiving@tufts.edu.
