• Engage the campus in civil discourse and dialogue
• Embed the practical skills of democracy in and out of the classroom
• Increase opportunities to engage in hands-on political participation
• Build the only national database on college student political learning and participation and disseminate interventions that work

Establish Tufts as the world's leader for scholarship in civic studies

• Engage Tufts faculty in shaping a multi-disciplinary, university-wide civic studies program
• Recruit scholars to spark new research, new courses, and new community engagement
• Convene experts and disseminate the best thinking on how to strengthen democracy
