Candidate Statement: My eagerness to join the Alumni Council stems from my commitment to ensuring Tufts alumni have diverse representation, an active and collaborative community, opportunities to learn and grow, and an urge to give back to the institution that instilled so much into us all. I attended Tufts for graduate school after being the first in my family to graduate college. The School of Medicine provided me the exposure and opportunities to grow as a leader, a lifetime student, a professional, and an advocate. As I maneuver the public, private, and non-profit sectors, it’s always fulfilling to meet so many wonderful Tufts alumni who are doing incredible things to advance our world for the greater good. I’m currently the Alumni Association President for the Tufts Public Health and Professional Degree Programs, with my two-year term ending May 2020. I believe my experience engaging and empowering alumni while fostering a fresh, innovative, and inclusive approach to alumni community building is valuable and essential to our institution’s growth. I hope to continue this leadership by serving the School of Medicine and our worldwide network of Jumbos on the Alumni Council. Thank you for your support!
