Our Mission
The 'Bos of the Last Decade (BOLD) Committee is a Shared Interest Group of the Tufts University Alumni Association. This committee comprises volunteers who graduated in the last decade (2015 - 2024) and are committed to connecting young alumni to Tufts through engagement and philanthropy.
You can help create the first Tufts young alumni funded scholarship.
Your gift of any size to financial aid will directly support a deserving student in the 2025 - 2026 academic year. This means a current Jumbo will be next year's BOLD Scholar, thanks to you.
What does BOLD do?
-
Regional Events
BOLD members serve as boots-on-the-ground planners in major cities across the country. They assist the Office of Alumni Engagement in choosing venues and experiences that cater to young alumni. From happy hours at breweries to comedy shows to service days and more, BOLD members help plan 2-3 events in their city throughout the year to provide opportunities for young alumni to connect off the Hill.

#TuftsGivingTuesday
Launched in 2012, #GivingTuesday, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (U.S.), is a global day dedicated to giving back. Each year, Tufts has gotten more involved—last year, a record $4.95 million was raised by close to 8,000 people.
#TuftsGivingTuesday an important Tufts tradition for students, alumni, parents, friends, faculty, and staff to support what matters most to them—and to you —at Tufts.
On #TuftsGivingTuesday, BOLD members encourage their classmates and friends to contribute to Tufts and make an impact through the dozens of challenges focused on financial aid, student life, athletics, DEIJ initiatives, first-generation student support, and much more. This year, BOLD volunteers invited peers to give to financial aid to support the first BOLD Scholar - a scholarship for a deserving student funded entirely by young alumni.

BOLD Scholar
Launched in 2024, BOLD members are helping create the first Tufts young alumni funded scholarship, to be awarded to a deserving student in the 2025 - 2026 academic year.
All gifts from young alumni (2015 - 2024 grads) to financial aid through June 30, 2025 will count toward the scholarship, and will directly support a current Jumbo.
