International Giving

Alumni, parents, and friends outside of the United States may be able to support Tufts University activities and receive tax benefits in return.* These tax-efficient giving opportunities can help individuals maximize their support for Tufts students, faculty, research, and programs. The following options are currently available.

Canadian taxpayers may be eligible to claim a tax credit for gifts to Trustees of Tufts College, which is registered with the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA). To learn about charitable tax credits in Canada, please visit the Canada Revenue Agency website.

Donors in Hong Kong may give to the Tufts University Charitable Trust in Hong Kong and be eligible to obtain associated tax benefits. Gifts may be made via wire payment or check and can support Tufts University programs in Hong Kong. 

Donations to Trustees of Tufts College from taxpayers in Mexico meet the requirements necessary to be considered tax-deductible, as Trustees of Tufts College is listed in Publication 78 of the US Internal Revenue Service.

To enable tax-efficient donations from Tufts University’s alumni, parents, and friends in the United Kingdom, we have established Tufts Global UK, Limited, a registered charity in England and Wales. While each donor’s personal circumstances will differ, your cash gift to Tufts Global UK, Limited may be eligible for the UK’s Gift Aid scheme, leveraging an additional 25% for the program(s) you are supporting, and may also be tax-deductible under the US tax code.
