Volunteer with Tufts Alumni New York

Volunteer with Tufts Alumni New York to build skills, network, and give back.  Whether you have a few minutes or a few hours, we have several opportunities for you to choose from:

Chapter Volunteer

They set the strategy for the programming for the year, oversee logistics by greeting alumni at events.  Chapter Volunteers partner closely with the Tufts Office of Alumni Relations to host and promote amazing events by and create a welcoming, Tufts-y environment. 

About you

• You’re a leader. You bring out the best in your team and know just when to delegate and when to jump in and get involved.
• You’re a planner. You are great at finding venues and organizing details to make sure everyone has a great time.
• You bleed brown and blue!

Through this opportunity, you will

• Develop leadership skills. You’ll dedicate 3-5 hours per month to set strategy, plan events, recruit volunteers, and analyze event evaluations. Don’t worry – there will be training opportunities to learn or enhance your leadership skill set!

Chapter Advocate

The Chapter Advocate is the captain of online promotion. They partner closely with the chapter volunteers to encourage attendance by posting about upcoming events on social media and via email. Chapter Advocates also encourage alumni to update their contact information to stay in touch with Tufts. This opportunity is perfect for the busy alum who is always on-the-go.  Time commitment is approximately 1-2 hours per month.

Through this opportunity, you will…

• Connect with alumni. You’ll use the power of social media and email to encourage your network of Tufts alumni to attend chapter events.
