Richard Vogel, Professor Emeritus, Civil and Environmental Engineering, has been on the Tufts faculty since 1984. With degrees from the University of Virginia and Cornell University, Prof. Vogel is a distinguished member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a Fellow of the American Geophysical Union. He has an international reputation and has received many prestigious awards for his extensive scholarship relating to hydrology, hydromorphology, water resource engineering and hydroclimatology. His presentations will focus on watersheds, rivers, river restoration, green infrastructure, dam engineering, dam removal and the myriad of societal concerns surrounding the extensive water projects on the Columbia and Snake Rivers.
