What is TAPVC?
The Tufts Alumni Professional Volunteer Corps (TAPVC) connects experienced Tufts alumni with short‑term volunteer opportunities to contribute their professional expertise to the university community.
Through TAPVC, alumni work alongside faculty, departments, and university programs to support initiatives that benefit students, academic programs, and fellow alumni.
These engagements allow alumni to apply their professional skills in ways that strengthen Tufts while deepening their connection to the university.
This is a new program and the three projects below will be the initial pilot.
Why TAPVC?
Tufts alumni represent an extraordinary network of professional experience across industries, sectors, and regions around the world.
Many alumni want to give back to Tufts beyond philanthropy, by contributing to the university the knowledge and expertise they have developed throughout their careers.
The Tufts Alumni Professional Volunteer Corps provides a structured way for alumni to:
- Apply their professional skills to support meaningful university initiatives and programs
- Support students and fellow alumni through mentorship and career guidance
- Collaborate with faculty and departments
- Stay connected to Tufts through purposeful service
Most opportunities are short‑term, project‑based, and flexible, allowing alumni to participate regardless of location.
